Thanks to the deployment of data mart services, Sligro's Demand Planning department has made a significant leap forward in using dashboards in Power BI. The team is not only motivated, but also well trained, which has led to organization-wide enthusiasm for using Power BI and its possibilities. A specific need of the department was to be able to present historical information to optimize forecasting in the context of demand planning. A data mart has been developed in close cooperation with the data warehouse team. This data mart not only contains historical information, but also all the necessary data elements that are essential for planning the demand. This has not only contributed to a better insight into the past, but also laid the foundation for more advanced and accurate forecasting, really taking Sligro's Demand Planning department to the next level.
